CTH PD - Raymond Road, USH 18, Verona Road - Dane County (City of Fitchburg)

Verona Road was a high-profile project for WisDOT. Improvements have been made over the past years to improve safety and capacity. This commercial area had complex acquisition challenges, including the change in grade for the mainline, the addition of a noise wall, and the potential impacts on businesses along the corridor. The City of Fitchburg has proactively changed its sign ordinance to accommodate the impacted companies. Approximately 50 parcels required acquisition in a tight timeframe. This project was completed in 2016.
